The Van Wagner Scholarship Loan Fund was established by Isabelle Van Wagner in 1944 in memory of her husband, Dr. Lee Cone Van Wagner, a physician and surgeon in New Berlin in the early 1900. The Fund aims to provide bona fide residents of the counties of Chenango and Otsego who have been accepted to an AAMC accredited allopathic medical
The Van Wagner Scholarship Loan Fund was established by Isabelle Van Wagner in 1944 in memory of her husband, Dr. Lee Cone Van Wagner, a physician and surgeon in New Berlin in the early 1900. The Fund aims to provide bona fide residents of the counties of Chenango and Otsego who have been accepted to an AAMC accredited allopathic medical school or an accredited Osteopathic medical school in the U.S., the opportunity to apply for a loan each year of their medical education.

The Fund's Trustees seek to honor the intent of the Endowment by offering loan forgiveness for any Fund recipients who practice at least one year in either Chenango or Otsego Counties after completion of their residency training.

Eligible students can apply annually for Funding. The amounts disbursed annually are dependent on the number of funding requests and the amount requested. Completed funding request applications must be submitted by June 1, 2024.
